“You can also check on the equipment that the landscaper is using.  If the equipment is busted, the service will most likely be busted, too.”

I’ve found this not only goes for landscaping.  It goes for all contractors.  Keep this in mind the next time you deal with one.

Personal Growth Carnival #38

Filed under: Uncategorized, Personal Growth Carnival — bryan_fleming @ 11:32 pm

Welcome to this week’s Personal Growth Carnival.  We have a lot of good articles this week, but here’s my Personal Growth tip:

“You don’t get pulled up in life from the people above you.  Instead, you are lifted up from the people you work with and your subordinates.  Keep this in mind as you deal with your co-workers on a daily basis.”

I wish I was smart enough to think of that on my own, but I’m not.  I’m only smart enough to spend my time in the car learning success principles rather listening to some DJ’s talk about what they saw on TV last night.  Yes, I’ve turned my car into a university on Wheels and loving it.  Why not give it a try?

A great audio book to start with is the Magic of Thinking Big.  I just finished the 4th CD I downloaded off the Internet.  It’s already been making some big differences in my life.  Hopefully you’ll find out the same.

Enjoy this week’s submissions:

Lexi Sundell presents My Hands Already Know posted at Energies of Creation, saying, “This is the story of accelerated learning to acquire essential skills during a career change.”

Albert Foong presents Little Secrets of the Power of Expressing Gratitude - Even for the bad posted at Urban Monk, saying, “Is gratitude masochistic? The power of gratitude is often misunderstood and criticised - especially when it comes to being grateful the bad things that have come into our lives. If used properly, gratitude is a powerful force for healing AND getting what we want.”

Million Dollar Savings Club: Can you Beat My Record?

Filed under: Uncategorized, Million Dollar Savings Club — bryan_fleming @ 12:56 pm

Well, I have some very exciting news that I will share with everyone shortly.  I hinted towards it in my last article, but now I’ve confirmed it is true.  Those of you who have set up your online savings account will be very glad you did.  Especially after you hit the $1,000 dollar mark.  Want a hint?

The Stock Market just broke 13,000 yesterday

That’s all I can say about it now.  But I promise you that you’ll see first hand how having some money set aside can start to transform your life in big ways.

When I started the Million Dollar Savings club, we started by saving only a dollar per day.  I made it 139 days, and then I moved over to an online savings account.  It’s easier to save money that way.  But if you’ve been able to save a dollar per day for more than 139 days, drop me an email.  I’d love to feature your story for all of the Million Dollar Savings Club readers.  I’m looking for someone who can beat my record!

At the beginning of the year we set some savings goals:

Bronze - $25/wk  ($1300.00 end of the year)
Silver - $50/wk ($2,600.00 end of the year)
Gold - $100/wk ($5,200.00 end of the year)

I chose to be a Silver Saver.  It’s been easy.  Now I have almost $1,000 in that account.  Time sure has flown by.  That account will continue to grow, unless I end up needing the money for an emergency.
Hopefully, you’ve made a commitment too.  Hopefully, you’re seeing the fun of watching your money pile up.  Stay tuned.  As I’ve said above I’ll have some very big news to share with you in a few weeks.

Until next time, keep on saving…
