Personal Growth Carnival Turns 35

Filed under: Personal Growth Carnival, Personal Growth — bryan_fleming @ 10:31 am

magicbig.jpgEveryone wants to reach the upper ranks in life.  What most people don’t know is that to do it you must engage yourself in a personal development program.  It’s called personal development because nobody can do it for you.  You must do it yourself.  Nobody can force you.  You must motivate yourself and put the time and effort into it if you want to achieve more in life.  Sadly most people education ends after high school or college.

How much time do you spend in your car every week?  For me it’s more than I’d care to admit.  Why not make use of this time?

How?

By turning your car into a “university on wheels”.

I just downloaded an audio book of the personal growth classic The Magic of Thinking Big.  If you have not read the book you should.  But the audio version is 4 hours long broken into 4 1-hour blocks.  So that’s 4 hours of my life I’d be wasting in my car, but instead I’m learning from some of the best literature ever written.  Instead of paying a lot of money for an audio CD you can now download this audio book for about $8.  Then you can make your own CDs or put it on your Ipod.

So let’s take some time right now and do some personal development.  Take a few minutes and read the most interesting article from the submissions below.  Its small differences like this that make successful people successful, while everyone else settles for mediocrity.  Enjoy.
