That’s how much money I have in my ING direct account since the beginning of the year.  If the year goes well and I don’t need to touch the money I’ll have over $2600.00.

Last week we talked about how having extra money in the bank can open up big possibilities in the car you drive.  This week I found out something else.  But we can’t do it until we have $1,000 in our Online Savings Accounts.  I will hold off on the big news until my account breaks $1,000.00.  Then I can verify for everyone that what I’ve discovered is true.  If it is, you’ll be shocked at the loophole I’ve found.

You know, a lot of people talk about saving money.  Here’s an article on Yahoo doing just that.  But how many of us are really saving any money at all?  Talk is cheap.  If you’ve made the decision to join the million-dollar savings club, then you’ve made the commitment to automatically save money every week.  You’re one of the few people out there actually doing it- not just reading about it.  You know something the rest of the people don’t know.  That is:

“Once you get started, saving money is easy”

You’re falling away from the credit card trap.  You’re living with more security in your life.

For everyone who started with me at the beginning of the year, here are this week’s standings:

Bronze Savers ($25/wk) - $350.00
Silver Savers ($50/wk) - $700.00
Gold Savers ($100/wk) - $1,400.00

Perhaps, you’ve made a few extra bucks in interest.  That’s nice.  But most importantly you didn’t have to think about saving the money.  It all happened automatically because you set up your online account that way.

For me, I’m looking forward to six weeks from now when I break the $1,000.00 mark.  That will be quite an accomplishment.  Of course for the Gold Savers that’s old news.
